SOFTWARE

At C-Job we work with dedicated design software. Below you can find a description of some design packages we use.

- Napa
- Nupas-Cadmatic

Napa

C-Job uses the Finnish naval architecture package NAPA for all of its conceptual and basic design projects. Ranging from hull design to stability analysis and continuing with the steel model (all in one single database) will give C-Job a powerful tool for their engineering processes. We have the capability to adapt the software to special projects like split barge calculations or crane operations. For this purpose C-Job has a software engineer on its payroll.

  • Additional to the use of NAPA, is the representation of NAPA in The Netherlands. C-Job can provide you insight information and demonstrations in the usage of NAPA in your office. Furthermore, we can provide you with training and support whenever required. NAPA can be used for the following purposes:
  • Hull shape development
  • Design of inner geometry
  • Calculation of hydrostatics and capacities
  • Setup of load cases and checking of criteria
  • Calculation of damage stability according to many different regulations
  • Seakeeping analysis
  • Resistance and propulsion analysis
  • Maneuvering analysis
  • Weight calculation
  • Steel design and FEM export

For a full overview of the possibilities see www.napa.fi

FEM Software
In case of structural calculations, MULTIFRAME as a beam element FEM software is used for the calculation whenever possible. The advantage of MULTIFRAME is the quick modeling of structures and analysis of stresses and deflections. When local detailed results are needed, C-Job makes use of plate element FEM software programs like ANSYS or FEMAP. Also global studies in ANSYS and/or FEMAP can be done by C-Job. NAPA Steel is in these cases used for the export of a comprehensive mesh-model directly.

NUPAS-CADMATIC

This dedicated detailed engineering package is specially used for the engineering stage following the basic design: production engineering. NUPAS is used for detailed steel design, using the Steel model made in NAPA. CADMATIC is then used for the design and routing of piping and ventilation systems.
